Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie is a San Francisco–based designer, project manager, educator, and mother of four who practices creative collaborations with people of all ages. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Architecture at UC Berkeley and is a life long learner who has continued studying Architectural Restoration, Education, and Design. She has worked in architecture and project management for many years but also had the opportunity to teach High School Architecture and Pre-Engineering classes. She developed a project-based curriculum that linked observation, hand sketching, computer-aided drafting, 3D modeling, spatial thinking and creative approaches to solve real world problems. Inspired by her high school students she started an after school STEAM enrichment class at her children’s elementary school teaching the design process. At the heart of Ann-Marie’s approach is a curiosity about how people relate to their environment. She hopes to share this curiosity with Sassafras Studio mates and enjoy the design process in order to creatively build prototypes that might lead to potential solutions for some fun challenges.
